Nouveau Départ – EHN Canada Addiction Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking General Practitioners to join our team!

The Addiction Rehabilitation Centre is currently looking for general practitioners interested in mental health and addiction disorders who are motivated to work within a multidisciplinary team (psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers).

Founded in 1985, Nouveau Départ – EHN Canada offers specialized services to people suffering from addiction problems such as alcoholism, drug addiction and/or all other forms of addiction. The clinic not only treats addiction issues from various sources, but also co-morbid mental health disorders that some individuals present with.

As of October 2017, New Beginnings Clinic has joined EHN Canada; a leading figure in the field of addiction treatment and related mental health issues in Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducting inpatient admissions;
• Medical management of withdrawals;
• Management of physical and/or psychiatric comorbidities;
• Follow-up with patients during their inpatient treatment;
• Follow up with patients during their inpatient treatment; Provide outpatient post-therapy follow-up, if needed;
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team;
• Any other related duties.

DESIRED PROFILE :

• Have a valid CMQ permit/license ;
• Have a patient-centered approach;
• Up-to-date knowledge of addiction medicine/mental health;
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and be a team player;
• Possess excellent communication and listening skills;
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to different situations encountered in the workplace;
• Possess leadership and autonomy;
• Fluency in French and English.
