First of all, what is Dialogue?

Dialogue is a fast-growing Canadian telemedicine company that serves over 800 patients per day. Patients can access a full team of medical professionals at any time and from anywhere. Our mission is to make Canadians happier, healthier, and performing at their best by helping them access health and wellness resources wherever they are, whenever they need it!

Dialogue offers its services to employers across Canada, who in turn provide Dialogue as a benefit to their employees. As a virtual platform that can be used 24/7, we empower employees and their families by providing safe, high quality care for their physical and mental health. We view ourselves as a complement to the public system, never as a replacement.

Our medical team is composed of physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, care coordinators and allied health professionals who all contribute to ensuring our patients have an excellent experience. At Dialogue, we offer you a supportive, collaborative and welcoming environment where we encourage you to participate in the development of virtual care!

Okay, now what will my work consist of?

As a physician, you will perform virtual patient encounters via secure video at your own convenience. Scheduling is shift-based, therefore you can easily add on to your existing workload. Our dedicated care team will support you in all care coordination and there is virtually no administrative work to be completed as a physician. Whatever time you spend on assigned administrative tasks such as meetings or training will be compensated.

Dialogue allows health practitioners to perform end-to-end consultations remotely with patients: from history-taking, to diagnosis, investigations and treatment, to follow-up appointments. And you can send your prescriptions directly to the patient’s pharmacy (when appropriate).

To assure patient safety, we adhere to a clearly defined scope of practice and evidence-based protocols. We encourage you to participate in the continuous improvement of clinical processes and the development of clinical practice guidelines adapted to the practice of virtual healthcare.

It is important to note:

  • Your work at Dialogue will not affect your status with the public health system;
  • You are fully protected by the CMPA, the same as with conventional care;
  • Our care processes are 100% aligned with regulatory college guidelines (e.g. CMQ, CPSO).

What can Dialogue offer physicians?

  • Flexibility – we understand you have a busy schedule, so at Dialogue you can work at the hours and from the locations that are most convenient for you;
  • Highly competitive pay (with a guaranteed hourly minimum and additional compensation tied to volume of encounters) …and no overhead costs!;
  • A team of supportive, hard-working, and caring individuals who will ease your work burden and help you learn and grow professionally;
  • The opportunity to contribute to the future of healthcare.

 Who is the ideal candidate?

  • An entrepreneur at heart, willing to innovate in how he/she delivers patient care;
  • Canadian board-certified and licensed to work in Canada;
  • (Bonus) Experienced in using video for patient encounters.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope you will join our amazing care team!
